Summary

Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services (KGS) company, seeks an experienced Senior Knowledge Management Engineer with an active Top-Secret Clearance to support Kadiak and our government customer at Andrews Air Force Base, MD.

Position Overview:

The position requires a highly organized, motivated, and technically proficient professional to serve as the lead administrator and engineer for enterprise collaboration and knowledge management platforms - including JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint, within a DISA/DoW environment. The individual will act as the central point of contact for knowledge management and data oversight within the directorate, responsible for architecting, configuring, securing, and optimizing these platforms to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and operational effectiveness. This role combines the responsibilities of a Knowledge Manager, Business Analyst, and platform engineer, requiring a balance of strong analytical capability and hands-on technical expertise to support mission execution, enable effective information sharing, and deliver executive-level reporting while ensuring systems remain both technically robust and user-focused.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • Platform Administration & Engineering: Administer, configure, and optimize JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint environments, including workflow design, automation, permission models, and SharePoint site architecture to ensure performance, scalability, and usability.
  • Governance, Security & Compliance: Enforce data governance, access controls, and cybersecurity requirements in alignment with DoD policies (including DoD 8570/IAT Level II), ensuring data integrity, system security, and proper lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge Management & Content Strategy: Develop and maintain structured knowledge repositories, collaboration frameworks, and documentation standards; curate and manage content across platforms to promote information sharing, user engagement, and organizational learning.
  • Data Analysis, Reporting & Visualization: Design and deliver dashboards, reports, and executive-level views (e.g., Power BI or similar tools); analyze data to identify trends and provide actionable insights to support mission and business decisions.
  • Process Optimization & Integration: Identify and implement automation, system integrations, and workflow improvements to enhance efficiency, streamline operations, and drive platform adoption across the organization.
  • User Support, Training & Collaboration: Provide Tier 2/3 support, develop training materials, and lead user enablement efforts; collaborate with cross-functional teams and effectively communicate insights to both technical staff and senior leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI or TS and the ability to obtain SCI or higher.
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Program Management, or related discipline (experience may be submitted in lieu of a degree)
  • CompTIA Security+ (CE) - REQUIRED
    • (DoD 8570 IAT Level II compliance)

  • Demonstrated experience administering and configuring JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint
  • Strong understanding of knowledge management principles, data governance, and collaboration frameworks.
  • Experience supporting executive-level reporting, dashboards, and briefings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel (pivot tables and data analysis functions), Access, and Power Point.
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and translate insights into actionable outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and senior leadership audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data integrity, accuracy, and system reliability.

  • MS/MA in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Program Management, or related discipline.
