Genesis10 is currently seeking a Risk Analytics Consultant for a hybrid (4 days on-site per week) position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity. This role will support Basel III Capital and Risk initiatives with a primary focus on data management, data sourcing, data mapping, data quality analysis, and testing activities supporting regulatory capital and risk reporting processes. The consultant will work across various teams to ensure critical Basel III data is sourced, validated, transformed, tested, and delivered accurately to downstream risk and capital calculation platforms.
Responsibilities: - Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Risk Analytics
- Contribute to large-scale planning related to Risk Analytics deliverables
- Review and analyze moderately complex Risk Analytics challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
- Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Risk Analytics deliverables while leveraging a solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Requirements: - 4 years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education
- Experience in data analysis, data management, data mapping, testing, or business analysis within Risk, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, or Financial Services
- Experience supporting regulatory, risk, capital, or enterprise data initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, functions, pivot tables, and data analysis
- Proficiency with SQL for data validation, reconciliation, joins, and aggregations
- Experience with Python for data manipulation, analysis, and execution of data validation/testing activities
Desired skills: - Experience supporting Basel III, regulatory capital, or risk reporting programs
- Experience with source-to-target mapping, data lineage, and data governance practices
- Experience executing integration testing, UAT, and reconciliation testing for data initiatives
- Experience working within large financial institutions and highly regulated environments
Pay range: $40.00 - $48.00 per hour
