Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Java Architect with over 14 years of professional experience to lead the design and evolution of our enterprise-scale platforms. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role requiring deep technical expertise in modern Java ecosystems and a commitment to working onsite in Minnesota.
 
Mandatory Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 14+ years in software engineering with at least 4–5 years in a dedicated Architectural role.
  • Core Java: Expert-level mastery of Java (8+) and advanced JVM concepts.
  • Frameworks: Extensive experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and the broader Spring ecosystem.
  • Microservices: Proven track record of designing, decomposing, and deploying distributed Microservices architectures.
  • Hands-on Nature: Ability to lead by example—you must be comfortable writing complex code, performing deep-dive code reviews, and building PoCs.
  • Cloud & DevOps: Strong understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Architectural Leadership: Define the technical roadmap, architectural blueprints, and best practices for Java-based microservices.
  • Solution Design: Solve complex scalability, security, and performance challenges within a distributed system.
  • Collaboration: Act as the bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams to translate requirements into robust technical designs.
  • Mentorship: Guide senior developers through architectural hurdles and ensure the team adheres to high-quality engineering standards.
  • Onsite Presence: Actively participate in onsite collaborative sessions and stakeholder meetings in Minnesota.
 
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra).
