Role: Technical Program Manager Payments
Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada
Duration: Long term

Role Overview

Lead enterprise-scale Payments programs spanning in-store, ecommerce, and omnichannel payment platforms. Drive secure, compliant, and reliable delivery of payment capabilities while coordinating across technology, security, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own complex Payments programs including card present/not present, digital wallets, gateways, processors, and fraud platforms
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Product, Security, Compliance, Finance, and external payment vendors
  • Drive end-to-end program planning including scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, and success metrics
  • Ensure alignment with PCI-DSS, security, compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Support roadmap planning, release management, and platform modernization initiatives
  • Own release readiness, production cutover coordination, and post-release validation for payment launches
  • Identify, track, and mitigate risks related to security, compliance, and transaction reliability
  • Promote best practices for secure, scalable, and resilient payment delivery

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Program or Technical Program Management experience
  • Proven experience delivering payments or financial transaction platforms at scale
  • Strong understanding of payment ecosystems, gateways, processors, and fraud controls
  • Hands-on experience with security, compliance, and regulatory-driven programs
  • Experience working in Agile and scaled Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe)
  • Excellent stakeholder management and ability to navigate high-risk, high-visibility initiatives
