Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to support high-impact initiatives across the FB Social ecosystem. This role is ideal for a hands-on data scientist with strong analytical and modeling skills, experience working with large-scale datasets, and the ability to drive actionable insights that influence product and ecosystem strategy.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working onsite in a fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with Product and Engineering teams, and delivering insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Modeling>
Perform deep analysis of complex, large-scale datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights
Apply statistical and analytical techniques to evaluate product, platform, and user behavior

Metrics Development>
Design, implement, and maintain core metrics to measure ecosystem health, growth, and engagement

Experimentation & Analysis>
Design and execute experiments to evaluate new features, partnerships, and strategic initiatives
Apply causal inference and experimentation methodologies where applicable

Reporting & Visualization>
Build dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Unidash, or Metrics360
Clearly communicate findings to technical and business stakeholders

Cross-Functional Collaboration>
Required Skills (Must-Have)
5+ years of professional experience in Data Science, Analytics, or related roles
Advanced proficiency in SQL
Strong programming skills in Python or R
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Unidash, Metrics360)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and modeling skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, onsite environment
Nice-to-Have / Preferred Skills
Experience working with large-scale data in tech or platform ecosystems
Familiarity with Meta internal tools such as Presto, Scuba, Hive
Strong background in product analytics
Knowledge of experimentation design and causal inference
Previous experience at Meta (highly preferred)
Prior consulting or contract experience
