Infrastructure Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer in Delray Beach, FL.

Summary:
This is a high-level, Infrastructure Engineer position. The person in this position plans, implements and supports varied solutions in a large Microsoft environment. This position installs and maintains virtual servers, and supports the Windows workstation environment, SAN storage with local and remote replication of data. This position is responsible for broad IT initiatives in a critical uptime environment for IT and public safety applications, VoIP Telephony and security.

Duties Include:
* Participate in all activities with servers, storage, backups, cloud environment, networks and workstations
* Deploy and Maintain technology equipment and applications, including data backup, file servers, NAS devices, printers, application and database servers
* Maintain and tune virtual servers on OpenShift and VMware hosts, locally and remotely
* Setup, configure and maintain Windows and Linux servers
* Run diagnostics and determine possible hardware problems and repairs; Follow established problem determination procedures in performing hardware problem analysis
* Participate in resolving more difficult infrastructure problems and obtaining IT assistance when necessary
* Evaluate software and tests new software; Upgrade equipment and provides training to users; Perform product evaluations and make recommendations on replacing existing solutions or for new technology
* Maintain Configuration Management of all infrastructure equipment, including but not limited to, servers, storage, switches, connections, routers, firewalls
* Install, maintain, and support all Telecommunication needs including but not limited to, Legacy phone circuits, billing, Unified Communications solutions, Voice over IP phone system and SIP circuits
* Responsible for security of the network infrastructure
* Responsible for the Data backup and disaster recovery of all servers

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related field with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in IT Server/SAN infrastructure, or Systems Administration
* Certification in at least one of the following: Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE), OpenShift EX280, OpenShift 316, Azure Solutions Architect or equivalent certifications within twelve (12) months of hire; Professional Certification from Microsoft, Cisco, RedHat or other pertinent technologies is desired; Certifications preferred (VMware, Azure, OpenShift, etc.); Completed certification in a hypervisor environment in VMware, OpenShift, Hyper-V, Nutanix, Proxmox etc. is desired
* 10+ years of experience
* Strong in: Infrastructure + Systems Engineering; SAN/storage + virtualization (critical)
* Must have comprehensive knowledge of data security administration principles, methods, and techniques
* Must have experience setting up backend networking/volumes for SAN to hypervisor/virtual servers. Preferred experience in Office 365; Azure; VMWare; OpenShift; Veeam; Exagrid; Pure Storage; Cisco UCS; Windows Server; MS SQL; Ubuntu; VoIP Phone systems
*Knowledge of the capabilities, limitations of information technology equipment, operating systems, databases; Latest technology and theory of data communications and local area networking; Software/hardware that interacts with host computers; Host system fundamentals, its operating system and database facilities; LAN concepts and terminology; Current LAN server and client operating systems
* Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License
* Experience in enterprise or government environments a big plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
