Location - Boston, MA (Hybrid)
Duration - 12+ Months
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Microsoft Enterprise Architect to design, govern, and evolve enterprise-wide technology solutions leveraging the Microsoft ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise across cloud, application, data, security, and integration domains, ensuring alignment with business strategy and scalability goals.
Key Responsibilities Enterprise Architecture & Strategy

• Define and maintain enterprise architecture aligned with business objectives
• Develop architecture roadmaps, standards, and governance frameworks
• Drive adoption of Microsoft-first strategy across the organization
• Lead architecture review boards and ensure compliance with enterprise standards

Microsoft Ecosystem Leadership

• Architect solutions leveraging:
• Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
• Microsoft 365 (Collaboration & Modern Workplace)
• Dynamics 365 (CRM/ERP)
• Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate)
• .NET ecosystem (application development)
• Design scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures across cloud and hybrid environments

Cloud & Infrastructure Architecture

• Lead cloud transformation initiatives and migration strategies (on-prem Azure)
• Design solutions using:
• Azure Landing Zones
• Microservices & containerization (AKS, Docker)
• Serverless architectures
• Ensure cost optimization, performance, and resilience

Integration & Data Architecture

• Define enterprise integration patterns using:
• Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, API Management
• Design data platforms using:
• Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake
• Establish data governance, security, and analytics frameworks

Security & Compliance

• Implement enterprise security architecture using:
• Azure Active Directory (Entra ID)
• Zero Trust principles
• Microsoft Defender suite
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards

Stakeholder & Leadership Management

• Collaborate with business leaders, product teams, and engineering teams
• Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
• Provide architectural guidance to solution architects and development teams
• Lead vendor evaluations and technology selection

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of IT experience with 5+ years in Enterprise Architecture
• Strong expertise across the Microsoft ecosystem
• Proven experience in large-scale digital transformation programs
• Hands-on experience with cloud architecture (Azure preferred)
• Strong understanding of:
• Microservices architecture
• API-led integration
• DevOps & CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub)

Preferred Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Enterprise Architect (or equivalent)
• TOGAF / Zachman (Enterprise Architecture frameworks)
