Position Overview
Understands business objectives and identifies solutions through cost/benefit analysis. Analyzes user requirements and procedures to automate processing or improve systems. Confers with organizational units to document input/output requirements and writes detailed user needs/program functions. Reviews system capabilities to determine feasibility of requested changes.
GitHub Administrator responsible for governance, security, compliance, and automation of GitHub Enterprise platform. Ensures DevSecOps enablement, audit readiness, and standardized CI/CD practices across enterprise software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage GitHub Enterprise (Cloud/Server) organizations with RBAC, SAML/SSO, branch protection
- Implement GitHub Actions/YAML workflow automation for CI/CD pipelines
- Integrate pipelines with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Configure audit logging, compliance reporting, access reviews
- Develop automation scripts (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Implement DevSecOps practices and GitHub Advanced Security (CodeQL, Secret Scanning)
- Document governance standards and conduct technical enablement
Candidate Skills and Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in Git-based version control administration.
- 8+ years hands-on experience managing GitHub Enterprise (Cloud or Server) organizations.
- 8+ years expertise in RBAC, SAML/SSO, and branch protection strategies.
- 8+ years proficiency in GitHub Actions and YAML-based workflow automation.
- 8+ years experience integrating CI/CD pipelines with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- 8+ years experience with audit logging, compliance reporting, and access reviews.
- 8+ years proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
- 8+ years experience implementing DevSecOps practices within CI/CD pipelines.
- 8+ years experience with GitHub Advanced Security (CodeQL, Secret Scanning).
Preferred Qualifications (4+ Years Experience)
- 4+ years experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep).
- 4+ years knowledge of policy-as-code implementations.
- 4+ years ability to document governance standards and developer guides.
- 4+ years experience leading technical enablement sessions.
