Summary

We are seeking an experienced Integration Architect with a strong background in the Energy & Utilities industry. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and govern enterprise integration solutions connecting utility applications, cloud platforms, operational systems, and enterprise applications. Experience with smart grid, CIS, OMS, GIS, AMI, MDMS, SAP, and cloud integration is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design end-to-end integration architecture for Energy & Utility applications.
  • Develop integration strategies using APIs, ESB, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
  • Integrate utility systems such as:
    • Customer Information System (CIS)
    • Outage Management System (OMS)
    • Geographic Information System (GIS)
    • Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)
    • Meter Data Management System (MDMS)
    • SCADA
    • SAP IS-U / SAP S/4HANA
  • Design REST/SOAP APIs and messaging solutions.
  • Implement cloud and hybrid integrations using Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, and development teams.
  • Define integration standards, security policies, and governance.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives within the utility organization.
  • Ensure scalability, high availability, and performance of integration solutions.
  • Lead technical design sessions and provide architectural guidance.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of IT experience with 4+ years as an Integration Architect.
  • Strong experience in the Energy & Utilities domain.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • MuleSoft
    • Boomi
    • IBM Integration Bus (IIB)/ACE
    • Azure Integration Services
    • Apache Kafka
    • API Gateway
  • Expertise in:
    • REST APIs
    • SOAP Web Services
    • JSON
    • XML
    • Microservices
    • Event-Driven Architecture
  • Experience with utility applications (CIS, OMS, GIS, AMI, MDMS, SCADA).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud Platform).
  • Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oncor, Duke Energy, PG&E, Exelon, Southern Company, National Grid, or other utility clients.
  • Knowledge of utility business processes (Transmission, Distribution, Metering, Billing, Customer Service).
  • TOGAF, MuleSoft, Azure, or cloud certifications are a plus.
