Access Control Technician

Description
This role is responsible for installing and setting up low-voltage security systems, with a primary focus on CCTV cameras and door access control systems. The position involves hands-on installation work including mounting devices, running cable, and installing door hardware. Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments and requires comfort working at heights using ladders and lift equipment.
Responsibilities

• Install and configure CCTV cameras, access control systems, and alarm systems
• Mount and secure cameras, control panels, and door hardware
• Run and terminate Cat5/Cat6 cabling
• Perform ladder and scissor lift work for elevated installations
• Use hand tools and power drills to complete installations
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic system and installation issues
• Work in indoor and outdoor environments depending on project needs

Skills
Low-voltage systems installation, security system setup (CCTV, access control, alarms), structured cabling (Cat5/Cat6), equipment mounting and hardware installation, troubleshooting and diagnostics, safe use of hand tools and power drills, working at heights (ladders and lifts)
Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Vigilant and Hanwha camera systems preferred
• Mechanical aptitude; ideal for entry-level candidates
• Comfortable working outdoors and at elevated heights
• Experience operating lift equipment is a plus
• Trainable, self-motivated, and eager to learn with minimal supervision

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Milwaukee, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.
