Video Surveillance Systems Field Technician (Onsite)
Primary Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Video Surveillance Systems Field Technician for our premier client in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Education and Experience
- 2+ years' experience installing and servicing low-voltage devices (e.g., CCTV, access control, alarms, networking) or equivalent.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams/schematics and perform safe installations using standard tools.
- Basic Wi-Fi/network troubleshooting and strong customer service communication.
- Valid driver's license, ability to work outdoors and perform field work safely.

Highly Desired/Preferred:
- Experience with video surveillance systems and related software/tools.
- Knowledge of networking concepts (switches, VLANs, Power over Ethernet) and structured cabling is a plus.
WHAT YOULL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and test video doorbell cameras; complete install checklist and resident sign-off.
- Conduct pre-install site checks (mounting location, power/wiring readiness as applicable, Wi-Fi signal/basic connectivity).
- Perform wired installs for ADA residents when scheduled, otherwise complete standard installation per program guidance.
- Track device inventory (serial numbers), manage spares, and coordinate swaps/returns for defective units.
- Troubleshoot device/app connectivity issues and escalate to vendor support when required.
- Support event-day deployment and final block party operations as requested.
