Job Title: IoT Architect

Location: Houston, TX - Hybrid

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced IoT Architect to design, implement, and support Industrial IoT (IIoT) and Operational Technology (OT) solutions for enterprise environments. The candidate will lead architecture, integration, and modernization initiatives across industrial systems, networks, and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Design scalable IoT/OT architecture for industrial environments.
  • Lead integration of PLC, HMI, SCADA, sensors, and enterprise systems.
  • Define security standards for OT/IT networks and remote access.
  • Oversee implementation of IoT platforms, gateways, and protocols.
  • Support system upgrades, migrations, and modernization projects.
  • Provide technical guidance to engineering and support teams.
  • Ensure reliability, performance, and compliance of IoT solutions.
  • Work with vendors and stakeholders on solution delivery.
  • Drive innovation and process improvement initiatives.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, and industrial automation systems.
  • Knowledge of protocols like Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, DNP3, IEC60870.
  • Experience with routers, firewalls, gateways, and OT networking.
  • Understanding of cloud IoT platforms and edge computing.
  • Strong architecture, troubleshooting, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Oil & Gas or industrial environments.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity tools and secure remote access solutions.
  • Certifications in Cloud, Networking, Security, or Automation.

Experience:
10+ years of relevant experience.
