Sr. Infrastructure/ Network engineer (prefer locals)

Location : Sunnyvale, CA (Day 1 onsite)

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–7 years of professional experience as a Network Engineer in hybrid or multi‑site environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with layer 2 switching, Dell/Force10 and Cisco, including ARP, LACP, MAC address tables, Spanning Tree Protocol, etc.
• Strong hands-on experience with layer 3 static routing
• Strong hands-on experience with NAT and private RFC1918 networks
• Cisco ASA firewalls
• Remote‑access Client VPN technologies including Cisco AnyConnect and Cisco Secure Connect, AWS Client VPN, OpenVPN, and Netskope
• Experience with SD‑WAN solutions for site-to-site VPNs, preferably Meraki
• Proficiency with VMware ESXi, vCenter, and virtual networking
• Deep understanding of VLANs, trunking, ACLs, and segmentation
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, including VPC design, routing, and security groups
• Familiarity with IBM Cloud
• Enterprise UNIX/Linux networking
• Experience with Cloudflare (SSL Certificates and DNS)
• Strong understanding of Windows DNS/DHCP and cross‑platform name‑resolution architectures
• Excellent documentation skills diagrams, runbooks, and change records
• Proven ability to manage vendors, negotiate support, and coordinate escalations
• Experience with Wi‑Fi 6/6E/7 wireless deployments and troubleshooting
• Strong physical data center skills and excellent cable knowledge and management, copper and fiber technologies and labeling standards
• physical infrastructure hygiene and racking and unracking servers and switches, etc.

Nice to have qualifications:

• Relevant certifications (CCNA/CCNP, AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform Associate or Professional, VMware VCP)
• Experience with automation or scripting (Python, Ansible, PowerShell)
• Experience with Zero Trust architectures and modern security frameworks
• Background supporting large‑scale, high‑availability environments
• Experience with Equinix data centers
• Bitbucket experience and Confluence experience
• Jira and AIX experience
• IBM Cloud and Solaris experience
