Project / Test Manager (Banking Conversions)

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid – 2 to 3 days onsite)

Job Summary: We are looking for a highly capable Project/Test Manager with specialized experience in Banking Conversions and Migrations. You will take ownership of Conversion Day 1 (CD1) testing for a major banking transformation, ensuring seamless data consolidation, risk management, and system integration across a unified platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conversion Leadership: Lead CD1 (Conversion Day 1) testing for banking transformations, ensuring user, system, and data consolidation.
  • Test Strategy & Governance: Own the conversion test strategy and governance, coordinating both client and offshore teams across all impacted banking systems.
  • Cutover & Validation: Drive cutover execution and post-conversion validation to ensure data integrity, access controls, and absolute business continuity.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Lead risk management meetings to identify and quantify risks. Own defect resolution, milestone tracking, and CD1 go-live readiness.
  • Automation Strategy: Leverage test automation to accelerate regression testing, validate critical conversion scenarios, and improve CD1 stabilization efficiency.
  • Stakeholder & Team Management: Act as the primary point of contact and escalation. Align business objectives with test requirements and bridge the gap between client stakeholders and offshore teams.
  • Process Improvement: Understand current client methodologies, provide strategic recommendations, guide test leads, and ensure timely project deliverables.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as a Project Manager or Test Manager within the Banking domain.
  • Proven track record of managing complex Banking Conversions / Migrations.
  • Strong expertise in conversion test strategy, cutover planning, and CD1 stabilization.
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model and coordinate with global (offshore) teams.
