Job SummaryThe Ops Solution Engineer is responsible for supporting and enhancing Operational Technology (OT) real-time systems used in Transmission Control Centers. This role requires a solid understanding of .NET/C# development for integration and maintenance on Energy Management Systems (EMS), SCADA systems, and AVEVA PI technologies. The engineer will provide application support, maintain system reliability, and contribute to continuous improvement of real-time operational tools. Success in this role requires strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to respond to operational incidents quickly.
Key Responsibilities- Provide application support for OT real-time systems, including EMS, SCADA, and related Transmission Control Center applications
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of AVEVA PI ecosystem components, including architecture, interfaces, and data flows using .NET/C# technology
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution of incidents impacting real-time operations
- Analyze system interdependencies and support integration across multiple platforms and technologies
- Demonstrate critical thinking and attention to detail in high-pressure operational environments
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, and maintenance activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, IT, and engineering
- Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to improve operational efficiency
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in a related field AND 2+ years of relevant experience OR
- Associate's degree in a related field AND 4+ years of relevant experience
- Intermediate to advanced experience with AVEVA PI
- Experience supporting SCADA systems
- Programming experience with C# and .NET framework
