Sage ERP Solutions Consultant to support the implementation and optimization of
Connected Payments, Huntington's integrated payments and treasury-automation solution for clients using
Sage ERP platforms. This role sits within the
Enterprise Payments organization and focuses on enhancing clients' payment acceptance, settlement, cash application, and banking workflows through seamless integration with their financial services.
The ideal candidate brings deep functional knowledge of Sage ERP (Sage Intacct strongly preferred) and has hands-on experience designing and deploying financial system integrations and payment workflows.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Implementation & Integration Lead end-to-end implementation of their Connected Payments solution within client Sage ERP environments (Sage Intacct, Sage 100/300/500).
- Conduct business requirements discovery for AR, AP, Banking, Order-to-Cash, General Ledger, and reconciliation workflows.
- Configure Sage modules, dimensions, workflows, permissions, and reporting elements to support integrated payment and treasury processes.
- Support integration activities, including data mapping, API review, connection setup, and end-to-end testing with Huntington services.
Solution Design & ERP Configuration Translate business needs into functional specifications for Sage configurations, custom fields, workflows, and reporting.
- Configure or advise on Sage features such as:
o Accounts Receivable & Cash Management
- Order Entry & Invoicing
- Dimensions (Sage Intacct)
- Bank Feeds / Reconciliation tools
- Smart Rules, Smart Events, and workflow automation
- Validate integration behaviors and ensure correct handling of settlements, refunds, chargebacks, and cash-application processes.
Client Advisory, Support & Enablement Act as a trusted Sage ERP subject-matter expert for payments, bank integrations, and automated treasury operations.
- Provide troubleshooting for integration issues, workflow challenges, or ERP configuration gaps.
- Develop and deliver client-facing documentation, training materials, and recommended best practices.
- Support ongoing optimization of clients' financial automation and reconciliation processes.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Connected Payments product management to share client insights and influence roadmap enhancements for Sage users.
- Partner with engineering teams to validate feature releases, APIs, data flows, and integration performance.
- Assist sales engineers and relationship managers during pre-sales cycles by providing Sage expertise, demo support, and solution design input.
Required Qualifications 3+ years of consulting or administrative experience in Sage ERP systems (Sage Intacct preferred; Sage 100/300/500 experience also valuable).
- Strong understanding of financial workflows: AR, banking, cash management, reconciliation, and order-to-cash.
- Experience with payment acceptance, payment gateways, bank integrations, or treasury systems.
- Familiarity with Sage APIs, integration tools, Smart Rules/Events, or Intacct platform services.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between business needs and technical implementation.
Preferred Qualifications Sage Intacct certifications (Implementation Specialist, Accounting Specialist, Platform Services) or Sage ERP product certifications.
- Experience with ACH, RTP, card processing, wire payments, or embedded banking/fintech integrations.
- Background in ERP consulting, accounting/finance technology, or financial services.
- Experience with workflow automation, API integrations, or custom ERP enhancements.
