  • The ideal candidate has an automationfirst mindset, thrives in complex enterprise environments, and partners closely with network engineering, operations, security, and platform teams to drive standardization, scalability, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Network Automation & Engineering
  • Act as a senior subject matter expert for network automation across routing, switching, data center, and campus environments.
  • Design, develop, and maintain Arista AVDbased automation frameworks for Day0, Day1, and Day2 operations.
  • Translate network designs and standards into reusable, modular automation artifacts (roles, collections, templates, and pipelines).
  • Drive adoption of InfrastructureasCode principles for network provisioning, configuration, and compliance.
  • CI/CD & Automation Platforms
  • Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines for network automation using tools such as GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Implement automated testing, validation, and deployment workflows for network changes (linting, prechecks, topology validation, config diffs).
  • Enforce version control, branching strategies, and peer review processes for all automation code.
  • Integrate automation pipelines with enterprise systems such as ITSM, IPAM, and sourceoftruth platforms where applicable.
  • Standards, Quality & Governance
  • Ensure automation solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop automated configuration compliance checks and remediation workflows.
  • Produce and maintain clear technical documentation, including design standards, runbooks, and automation usage guides.
  • Participate in architecture reviews and provide technical approval for significant network or automation changes.
  • Leadership & Collaboration
  • Serve as a technical mentor and leader for network and automation engineers.
  • Partner with operations teams to transition manual workflows into reliable, automated solutions.
  • Collaborate crossfunctionally with security, cloud, DevOps, and manufacturing/OT teams to deliver endtoend automation.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex automation or networkrelated issues.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in network engineering within large enterprise or service provider environments.
  • 5+ years of handson network automation experience, including largescale deployments.
  • Enterprise experience is required. Manufacturing industry experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or owning automation frameworks and standards.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience integrating network automation with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Exposure to cloud networking automation (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments.
  • Experience in manufacturing or OT network environments.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks, linting tools, and automation validation pipelines.
  • Certification for Arista Cloud Engineer (ACE): L5

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (minimum required)
