Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ability to report to workin a timely manneras scheduled by supervisor.
- Repair and overhaul equipment such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, electrical and mechanical controldevicesand other similar machinery.
- Test malfunctioning systems and components using electrical and/or mechanical skills.
- Maintain legible corporate and personal records of work history.
- Provide general repair work on refrigeration,heatingand ventilation equipment such as air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machine equipment, water pumps, gas furnaces,compressorsand electric motors.
- Provide preventative maintenance activities; diagnose equipment malfunctions and operating efficiency of mechanical equipment.
- Perform work on minor construction and remodeling projects including startups of new installations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education / Training
- High school diploma or GED
- Course work at an accredited vocational technical or trade school.
- 1-3year's experiencein commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical required.
- Must have passed Tech Skills level 3 withan 80% or better.
- Must have a valid EPA certificate.
- Basic knowledge of refrigeration, HVAC, ice machines, gas furnaces, and electrical.
Work Experience & Skills
- 1-3years of commercial refrigeration experiencerequired.
- Experience working on refrigeration equipment in convenience stores or supermarkets a strong plus.
- Familiarity with single systems and rack systems along withpreviouswork on display cases and walk-in boxes isvery helpful.
- Good communicationskills and the ability to build strong relationships with customers, and management.
- Ability to take direction from Sr. Specialist or Supervisor.
- Must havea good drivingrecord and be able to work independently.
- Emergency on-call availability is a basic requirement.
