Summary

Senior software engineer (network automation)

You will have -

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar
6-10 years of experience in the QA(networking domain)

You will possess these skills –

Strong understanding of networking fundamentals
Good knowledge of linux
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, DHCP, FTP, SNMP, Routing protocols like BGP etc.
Good knowledge of network security concepts (VPN, IPSec, SSL/TLS).
Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS VPC, Azure VNets, Google Cloud Platform networking).
Strong knowledge of programming language (preferred python).
Work closely with development, QA and DevOps to optimize application performance.
Experience with test automation and using AI tools to define and optimize testing strategies
Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Good debugging and troubleshooting skills.

Good for you to have –

Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, or CEH are preferred.

Bird’s eye view of your role –

Set up and maintain test labs and network topologies
Design and implement performance test strategies, plans, and frameworks.
Analyze system performance and identifybottlenecks (CPU, memory, network, DB).
Develop and execute load, stress and scale tests
Create and maintain performance test scripts using tools like JMeter , IXIA etc.
Analyze packet captures using tools likeWireshark or tcpdump.
Identify, log, and track defects; collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
