Summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a part-time Sr. Workday Data Architect/Lead for a remote contract assignment with one of our premier Infrastructure Services clients in GA. This role will be 100% remote.

This a part-time contract for 8 months designed to be a supplemental contract.

Responsibilities :
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Architect Lead with deep expertise in Workday Financials to support the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of financial and operational systems. This role requires a consultative approach, partnering with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Procurement, HR, and Payroll teams to ensure system configurations, integrations, and reporting meet business needs while maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve business process failures and integration issues across Workday Financials.
  • Design, create, and maintain advanced, matrix, and composite reports; coordinate and schedule report groups.
  • Manage Workday modules, including Expenses, Banking and Settlement, Cash Management, Procurement, Contracts, Projects, Supplier Accounts, and Accounting.
  • Serve as a consultative partner to Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Expenses, HR, and Payroll.
  • Collaborate with the Workday Financials Senior Manager on project requirements and company deliverables.
  • Align business requirements, processes, security groups/roles, and integration designs with Finance business functions.
  • Gather business and security requirements, perform system design and configuration, map and validate data conversion, create test plans, conduct testing, and provide ongoing support.
  • Develop and maintain Finance training materials; deliver training sessions in person or online.
  • Create user testing scripts, participate in testing for regular releases and updates, and support users through system changes.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of all accessed data.
  • Support future business needs in Workday Financials, including implementations and enhancements for Ascend (OCR for AP) and Adaptive (FP&A).
  • Contribute to additional projects as assigned.
Required Skills:
  • Proven experience in Workday Financials with strong expertise in reporting, integrations, and module management.
  • Strong understanding of Finance, Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, Procurement, and HR business processes.
  • Hands-on experience with system configuration, data conversion, testing, and end-user support.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and act as a consultative partner.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and training skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Commitment to maintaining data confidentiality and security.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with Ascend (OCR for AP) and Adaptive (FP&A) implementations or enhancements.
  • Prior experience in developing complex Workday reports and advanced integrations.
  • Prior experience in Implementing Enterprise level Sourcing/Contract Lifecycle Management applications.
