Business / Data Analyst

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Business/Data Analyst in Doylestown, PA.

Summary:
The Business/Data Analyst role will support activities required for the successful delivery of Data Engineering features for Project OneSource. The workstream that will be supported is the Loyalty Data Analytics Product (LDAP).

Responsibilities for this role will include:
* Gathering Business Requirements (BRD) and defining Functional Requirements (FRD) based on the BRD
* Performing any required gap analysis to ensure requirements are complete
* Extensive Data Analysis activities for the data sources required for the data product
* Creating and maintaining Source to Target Mappings (STM), data flows and other project documentation
* Act as liaison between the Business and Development team and help remove blockers so the development can continue with minimal interruption
* Working with the business team to ensure STM's are in-line with the BRD/FRD
* Working with the QA team with business test case definition and creation
* Create and maintain User stories, and assist with sprint planning
* Contribute to status reporting, project planning and facilitating meetings with the Business; Document meeting outcomes/minutes and updating Functional Requirements and User stories as needed based on decisions made in the meetings
* Assist Data Architect with any additional analysis needs and data modeling

REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven experience as a Business/Data Analyst supporting data engineering or analytics initiatives
* Strong requirements expertise, including gathering and documenting BRDs and translating them into FRDs with clear, testable requirements
* Ability to perform gap analysis to ensure requirements completeness and alignment with business objectives
* Hands-on data analysis experience across complex data sources to support analytics and data products
* Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining Source-to-Target Mappings (STMs), data flows, and related project documentation
* Ability to act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, removing blockers and enabling continuous development
* Experience working closely with business partners to ensure STMs and functional requirements align with approved BRDs/FRDs
* Collaboration with QA teams to define business test cases, support testing efforts, and validate data outputs
* Strong Agile experience, including writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and supporting sprint planning and backlog grooming
* Experience contributing to status reporting, project planning, and facilitating stakeholder meetings; ability to document decisions and update requirements and user stories accordingly
* Ability to support Data Architects with analysis, data modeling assistance, and clarification of business rules
* Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
* Proficiency with SQL and common analysis/documentation tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Excel)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
