Join a fast-paced environment supporting a recent D365 go-live and warehouse relocation. This role is ideal for a hands-on D365 AWM functional consultant who enjoys working close to the business, owning enhancements, and stabilizing operations in a regulated (FDA) environment.
About the Role
The client recently went live on Dynamics 365 and relocated their warehouse from Connecticut to Texas. Due to the loss of key internal resources with D365 Advanced Warehouse Management (AWM) expertise, they are seeking a mid-level functional consultant to support ongoing enhancements, resolve support tickets, and drive new initiatives.
The environment includes RF scanners, ISVs for 3rd-party integrations, standard D365 functionality, and significant customizations. Strong documentation discipline is critical due to FDA compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the hands-on functional owner for D365 Advanced Warehouse Management (AWM)
Gather and analyze business requirements for warehouse enhancements and new initiatives
Design functional solutions aligned with D365 AWM best practices and existing customizations
Configure D365 AWM modules, workflows, mobile device menus, and RF scanner processes
Work with ISVs and 3rd-party vendors to support integrations and enhancements
Support and resolve production issues and user support tickets
Create and maintain detailed functional documentation to meet FDA compliance standards
Execute and support system testing (SIT/UAT) and validate end-to-end warehouse processes
Develop and deliver user training and knowledge transfer for warehouse and operations teams
Collaborate closely with IT, operations, and external partners to ensure stable warehouse operations
What We’re Looking For (Must-Have Skills)
Hands-on experience with D365 Advanced Warehouse Management (AWM)
Experience working with ISVs / 3rd-party warehouse solutions
Strong functional background in:
Inbound, outbound, picking, packing, replenishment
RF scanner and mobile device processes
Ability to own requirements, design, configuration, testing, documentation, and training
Experience working in regulated environments (FDA or similar) with a strong focus on documentation
Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with business users
