Description
The IT Program Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of senior project managers and project managers to successfully deliver a portfolio of work across OhioHealth care sites. The portfolio of work includes complex, cross functional system implementations, digital transformations, infrastructure modernization, facility expansions, and cybersecurity programs which align to OhioHealth's strategic goals. Working closely with care site operational leadership, clinical stakeholders, physicians, vendor partners, and IT leadership, the IT program manager is responsible for management, oversight, and delivery of the full portfolio of projects. This includes staffing allocation and assignment of portfolio work, management of individual contributor project managers, management of interdependencies among projects, and adherence to overall portfolio governance. The IT Program Manager contributes to the maturity of Solution Delivery organization by identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency through technology and process optimization. The IT Program Manager hires, mentors and coaches project management staff and provides opportunities for expanded responsibilities to enhance career growth. This position requires exceptional leadership, verbal and written communication skills, knowledge of the healthcare industry and the ability to influence without direct authority across a large, matrixed organization. Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience - 10+ years of progressive experience managing complex IT programs or portfolios - PMP certification preferred - Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models - Familiarity with IT governance, architecture, and cybersecurity frameworks - Experience in Healthcare (Epic) Desired Attributes - Demonstrated success leading project managers who support enterprise-scale IT initiatives (e.g., EHR implementations, cloud migrations, M&A integrations, new facility establishment) - Strong executive presence and ability to influence across technical and non-technical stakeholders - Expert level experience with tools such as Smartsheet, ServiceNow and JIRA - Balance strategic vision, business value, user experience, and technical feasibility while prioritizing work that delivers measurable outcomes - Use metrics, insights, and continuous improvement practices to guide decision-making, anticipate risks, improve delivery performance, and achieve predictable results Responsibilities and Duties Lead a team of project managers and senior project managers in the delivery of a portfolio of projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and adherence to the Solution Delivery framework. This includes ensuring all project managers develop and maintain project artifacts to support scope, schedule, status communication, budget, and risk management. Lead the team through organizational change, ambiguity, and competing priorities. Drive alignment between IT project management, vendor project management, and operational leadership for enterprise-wide initiatives. Manage resourcing needs to support delivery of the portfolio. Interview, hire, and onboard both internal and external project managers. Coach, mentor, and serve as the escalation point for project managers. Creatively solve problems, remove roadblocks, and escalate appropriately. Manage vendor relationships to support project management staffing. Monitor overall financial performance of the portfolio of projects, partnering with finance to align on overall actual and forecasted capital and operating expenditures. Establish and facilitate program steering committees and governance, ensuring efficient processes and decision making with effective communication and transparency. Build trusted partnerships across clinical, operational, financial, design and construction and technical organizations including applications, infrastructure, and security. Partner with product managers, engineers, and business leaders to modernize platforms, enable AI and analytics capabilities, improve customer/patient experiences, and continuously optimize delivery processes Collaborate with peers to continuously improve the maturity of the Solution Delivery organization. Establish and/or optimize governance structures which promote transparency of project status, risks, and issues, and identification of needed executive decisions. Develop tools to automate manual project management deliverables and processes, improving efficiency. Represent IT Solutions Delivery in enterprise forums and collaborate with the EPMO to drive project success. Translate business goals into executable roadmaps and coordinating cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Data & Analytics, and business operations to deliver measurable outcomes. Information Security - Maintain confidentiality of credentials and access controls - Ensure privacy and security of information entrusted to their care - Adhere to all information privacy and security policies, procedures, and standards - Promptly report information security incidents to the OhioHealth Information Security Officer

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $85.00/hr.
