Summary

Description
Our client is seeking a Network Implementation Specialist to support large-scale capital infrastructure and field network deployments across a highly segmented enterprise and operational technology (OT) environment.
This is a hands-on implementation role, focused on translating standardized network designs into real-world deployments across substations, industrial sites, and distributed field environments. You will play a critical role in commissioning, integrating, and stabilizing network infrastructure that supports mission-critical operations.
This is not a design-heavy engineering position-instead, the focus is on execution, deployment, field validation, and troubleshooting in both greenfield (new build) and brownfield (existing infrastructure) environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Network Deployment & Implementation

Execute and deploy predefined network designs across field and facility environments
Install, configure, and validate routers, switches, and network hardware in accordance with standards (interviewguy.com)
Translate logical designs into physical infrastructure and connectivity in real-world environments
Support network turn-up, system testing, and commissioning activities
  • Project Execution & Field Support

Participate in site walk-downs, field validation, and construction coordination
Review and validate construction prints and network designs to ensure alignment between design intent and installation
Support installation teams, contractors, and vendors during deployment phases (jobdayta.com)
Assist with site readiness, device placement, and communication validation
  • Deploying routers, switches, and network infrastructure
  • Translating network diagrams into physical installs
  • Following standardized deployment templates
  • Site turn-up and commissioning support
  • Configuration & Integration

  • Apply standardized templates to:

Determine device requirements and port assignments
Configure network equipment for deployment
Support integration of new infrastructure into existing brownfield environments
Validate connectivity across LAN, WAN, and field communication networks (ca.jooble.org)
  • Troubleshooting & Commissioning
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues during deployment, including:
  • Network configuration errors
  • Hardware installation issues
  • Telecom circuit problems

Perform network testing and validation to ensure operational readiness (weekday. Works)
Resolve issues encountered during commissioning and site acceptance
Documentation & Quality Assurance
  • Develop and maintain:

Network deployment documentation
Configuration records
Site-specific implementation details
Ensure all installations meet standards, compliance, and quality expectations
Provide feedback to engineering teams to improve deployment processes and templates
