RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client seeking a Remote Senior QA Playwright/Postman Automation Engineer.
Responsibilities:
* Own and drive software quality across web, mobile, API, and backend applications
* Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites
* Execute manual, exploratory, regression, and end-to-end testing to ensure application reliability and user satisfaction
* Develop and maintain API testing strategies, validating integrations, functionality, security, and data accuracy
* Lead release readiness activities, coordinating testing efforts, deployment validation, and production releases
* Partner with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to incorporate quality throughout the software development lifecycle
* Define, monitor, and report on key quality metrics, identifying opportunities for process improvement and risk reduction
* Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery and release confidence
* Ensure adherence to security, privacy, accessibility, and data integrity standards
* Support troubleshooting, defect triage, root-cause analysis, and resolution efforts
* Create and maintain test plans, test cases, release documentation, and quality processes
* Mentor team members on testing best practices, automation strategies, and quality engineering principles
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to testing efficiency, automation coverage, release quality, and operational excellence
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
* 8+ years of experience in quality assurance, test engineering, or software quality roles
* 4+ years of Postman/Newman
* 2+ years of experience with Playwright
* 2+ years of experience in release management
* Proven experience developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks and test suites
* Strong experience with API testing, integration validation, and automated test execution
* Experience leading or coordinating software releases and deployment activities
* Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and software delivery processes
* Experience validating data accuracy through database queries and backend testing techniques
* Experience working in regulated, security-conscious, or compliance-driven environments
* Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and modern quality assurance practices
* Knowledge of modern software development tools, automation platforms, and AI-assisted productivity tools
* Strong understanding of web, mobile, and enterprise application testing
* Familiarity with performance, load, accessibility, and cross-platform testing practices
* Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
* Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, drive results, and maintain high-quality standards in fast-paced environments
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
