job summary:
Senior Payroll Tester - Specific to Workday Payroll, Leave, Time, Absence.
Ensures the accuracy, compliance, and reliability of payroll processes within the
Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) platform. This role focuses on testing
Workday's Payroll and related modules (Time, Absence, HCM) to meet business
requirements and regulatory standards.
? Plan and execute end-to-end testing of Workday configurations, especially
Payroll and Timekeeping modules
? Develop and maintain test plans, cases, and scripts aligned with business
needs and Workday best practices
? Conduct multiple testing types: unit, integration, system, UAT, regression,
performance, security, and payroll-specific testing
? Identify and mitigate defects early in the development cycle, working with
developers and functional teams
? Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, validate workflows, and
ensure alignment with business objectives
? Use test management tools (e.g., JIRA, SmartSheets, DevOps, Zephyr) to
track defects, manage test cases, and generate reports.
? Support parallel testing runs to validate changes without disrupting live payroll
? Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain QA standards, documentation,
and reporting
? Troubleshoot payroll-related issues, investigate root causes, and recommend
solutions
Requirements:
10+ years experience in US payroll policies, practices including PTO, leaves, absence
and time and attendance and scheduling
3 years experience with Global payroll
3 years experience in implementing Payroll system and testing for payroll system
