Software Engineer with strong AI and Python expertise to help design and deliver next-generation, agent-driven applications. In this role, you'll work at the forefront of
Generative AI and agentic systems, rapidly prototyping solutions that address real business problems.
You'll be part of a highly collaborative team building
forward-deployed AI solutions-developing working demos, validating ideas, and transforming how the business operates through emerging technologies. This role combines
hands-on engineering, rapid prototyping, and innovation, and is ideal for engineers who thrive in fast-moving, experimental environments.
What You'll Do- Design, develop, and deliver AI-powered applications and agentic workflows using frameworks such as LangChain and similar tools
- Build prototypes and demos that showcase innovative solutions to business challenges
- Contribute to a backlog of AI solutions, developing multiple concepts in parallel
- Partner with engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to translate ideas into working systems
- Apply best practices across the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), including version control, testing, and deployment
- Collaborate through code reviews, branching strategies, and shared repositories
- Ensure solutions meet scalability, security, and compliance standards, especially when working with sensitive data
- Identify technical challenges and drive solutions across development, build, and deployment processes
- Present new ideas and working demonstrations on a recurring basis to leadership
Minimum Qualifications- 5+ years of software engineering experience (Java or Python); experience transitioning to Python is acceptable
- 2+ years of hands-on Python development
- Experience working across the full SDLC in collaborative engineering environments
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, including frameworks for building agent-based systems (technology-agnostic)
- Experience with version control, branching, and team-based development workflows
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with Generative AI, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) or agentic architectures
- Exposure to MLOps or LLMOps practices
- Experience working in cloud environments (e.g., Azure, Google Cloud Platform, OpenShift)
- Background in financial services or regulated environments
- Strong understanding of secure development practices and cybersecurity considerations
- AI-related certifications (e.g., Google, AWS)
- Advanced education in AI or related fields (valued, but hands-on experience is preferred)
- Experience building rapid prototypes or working in innovation-focused teams
