Senior SAP FS-RI Consultant (Reinsurance Management)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP FS-RI Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Reinsurance Management (FS-RI) and deep insurance/reinsurance domain knowledge. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with treaty and facultative reinsurance processes, SAP configuration, accounting integrations, and production support in enterprise SAP environments.

Required Skills:
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP FS-RI (Reinsurance)
  • Deep reinsurance domain expertise including:
    • Treaty & Facultative Reinsurance
    • Proportional & Non-Proportional Reinsurance
    • Ceded & Assumed Reinsurance
  • Experience with:
    • Treaty/contract setup
    • Premium calculations
    • Claims & recoveries
    • Commissions & settlements
    • UPR & reinstatement premiums
  • Strong understanding of reinsurance accounting principles
  • Experience supporting:
    • Month-end / Quarter-end / Year-end close
    • SIT / UAT / Production support
  • Integration experience with:
    • SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR)
    • SAP FS-CD
  • Ability to troubleshoot posting logic, reconciliation issues, and data discrepancies
  • Experience preparing functional specifications and working with business stakeholders
  • Exposure to SAP and non-SAP integrations
  • Basic ABAP debugging and log analysis skills
  • Insurance/Reinsurance industry experience is mandatory
  • 6+ years of SAP experience with 3+ years in SAP FS-RI
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze business requirements and deliver SAP FS-RI functional solutions
  • Configure and support treaty and facultative reinsurance processes
  • Manage contracts, treaties, sections, and participation structures
  • Support premium processing, postings, recoveries, commissions, and settlements
  • Ensure accurate accounting integration with SAP S/4HANA Finance
  • Support UPR, reinstatement premiums, and period-end activities
  • Coordinate with Finance, Actuarial, and Business teams
  • Support integrations with SAP FS-CD and upstream/downstream systems
  • Prepare functional specs, test scenarios, and configuration documentation
  • Resolve production issues, reconciliation errors, and posting discrepancies
  • Participate in release management, transports, and change activities
  • Provide knowledge transfer and support to global teams
