Job Description
This role will be part of a newly formed Data-focused organization built around a "Leading as a System" approach, supporting multiple operating teams across the enterprise. The group is new, growing quickly, and managing a large and expanding project portfolio. They are seeking a developer who can help design, develop, and maintain high-quality web application software with a strong emphasis on performance and user experience.
This position is structured as a 3-year contract with a strong likelihood of full-time conversion, contingent on budget availability. This is a long-term need and not a temporary initiative. The team is targeting candidates with 2-5 years of experience, but they are open to investing in candidates with at least one year of relevant experience, including applicable co-op or internship work. Stronger candidates may be prioritized if available.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain web application software with a focus on performance and user experience
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and communicate closely with subject matter experts and field users
  • Perform thorough testing, debugging, and quality assurance to ensure reliability and quality
  • Interact with, modify, and create data sources as needed
  • Assist with deployment and monitoring of web applications in production environments
  • Implement and follow security best practices throughout the development lifecycle

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 2-5 years of experience preferred; minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required (co-op or internship experience is acceptable if relevant)
  • Candidates are encouraged to provide a portfolio showcasing applicable work
