This position is responsible for the gathering requirements, documenting, application development, implementation, and ongoing support for software solutions in the coal services area of Commercial Operations. This role will work closely with TO and business partners to gather and document requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and design, develop, and support custom and inhouse applications across the Microsoft technology stack. The successful candidate will combine strong business analysis skills with hands-on development experience, supporting the full software development lifecycle while ensuring solutions are reliable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.
The primary responsibilities include working as part of a product-focused team providing technical support for applications within the coal services area. The successful candidate should not only have a strong technical experience but the desire to learn business concepts and processes and a passion for software development.
This project proposes an incremental, Agile improvement approach to stabilize and enhance the current coal inventory and logistics process. The focus is on improving data durability, reducing manual effort, enabling safer planning and scenario analysis, and supporting long term sustainability without disrupting existing business workflows. While the inventory tool is the initial focus, the broader objective is to establish a more durable foundation that can support related processes such as procurement commitments, limestone and silo inventory, and official inventory reporting used across the organization.

5+ years Experience supporting, implementing, testing, and integrating applications (desktop, web applications, and web services) (required)
5 + years of strong experience with C#, .NET / .NET Core, Blazor, relational databases (SQL Server and/or Oracle)
3+ years of hands-on experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements for enterprise applications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience supporting application software solutions running on client and Windows Server operating systems preferred.
Experience with scripting such as PowerShell a plus.
Experience using relational databases and SQL. SQL Server, data modeling, etc. is a plus.
Experience with Source Control, Continuous Integration and Deployment, and developer best practices. Experience with Git or TeamCity, is a plus.
Real-world experience with full life-cycle development and delivery of enterprise-class software solutions using the latest technologies and platforms and latest software development best practices and techniques including design patterns, test-driven development, and object-oriented frameworks.
Ability to take direction and work as a member of a high performing team; overall excellent teamwork skills
Strong communication skills including ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders at an appropriate level of detail
Solid understanding of source control and change management

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100.00 - $120.00/hr.
