You will partner closely with plant operations, production teams, and program leadership to understand current-state business processes, identify improvement opportunities, gather requirements, and support strategic transformation initiatives. During the initial phases of the program, you will play a key role in discovery, process mapping, project coordination, and helping establish the foundation for future manufacturing initiatives.

This position requires someone who is comfortable working directly on the manufacturing floor, engaging with stakeholders, and translating operational challenges into practical business solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with manufacturing and production teams to understand current business processes and operational workflows.
  • Conduct business process mapping, workflow analysis, and identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements.
  • Perform gap analysis between current and future state processes.
  • Work directly with plant personnel to understand operational challenges and recommend process improvements.
  • Coordinate multiple workstreams, action items, and project activities across cross-functional teams.
  • Support manufacturing transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare business documentation including process flows, requirements documents, meeting notes, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project leadership throughout discovery and implementation phases.
  • Provide regular project updates, status reporting, and support leadership decision-making.
  • Adapt to evolving project priorities and support additional initiatives as the program expands.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Business Analysis or Business Process Improvement experience.
  • Hands-on experience within a manufacturing or plant environment.
  • Strong experience conducting business process mapping and process documentation.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience facilitating discussions with production teams, operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Word).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Automotive manufacturing experience.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing transformation or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Exposure to engineering or industrial manufacturing processes.
  • Experience coordinating projects or supporting PMO activities.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, or Microsoft Project.

Soft Skills

  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Excellent relationship-building abilities.
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptable and flexible in changing business environments.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making capabilities.
  • Frequent interaction with production teams and plant operations.
  • Opportunity to grow into a subject matter expert and play a key role in a long-term manufacturing transformation program.
