Location: Merrifield, VA (Hybrid)
Assignment Type: Contract Only
Duration: Approx. 12 months
Role Overview:This role leads Agile delivery efforts across high-impact technical initiatives. As the Scrum Master / Project Manager, you will guide teams through the full Agile lifecycle, facilitate key ceremonies, maintain alignment with business objectives, and ensure delivery commitments are met. You'll serve as the central point of coordination across technical teams and business stakeholders while driving continuous improvement and removing impediments to flow.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage end-to-end delivery for Agile initiatives from intake through release
- Ensure delivery commitments align with Program Increment (PI) goals and business priorities
- Partner with the Product Owner to maintain a well-documented, prioritized backlog
- Act as the primary liaison between delivery teams and business stakeholders
- Identify, manage, and communicate risks, dependencies, and blockers
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: Daily Standups, Sprint Planning, Grooming, Reviews/Demos, Retrospectives
- Forecast delivery outcomes using estimation, velocity tracking, and capacity planning
- Drive process improvement initiatives and retrospection-based enhancements
- Shield teams from external disruptions and promote smooth collaboration
Qualifications:- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Strong background in Agile/Scrum delivery and technical project management
- Ability to manage complex dependencies and communicate effectively across teams
- Experience with financial systems or financial environments is a plus
- Experience supporting Navy Federal-style environments is a plus
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and indicate if sponsorship is needed now or in the future
Compensation and Benefits:- The pay rate for this position is between $50 and $65 per hour.
