Location: Richmond, Virginia (Partial Remote)
Role Overview
We are seeking an Information Security Analyst to provide research, analysis, and guidance on information security matters. This role involves identifying and evaluating processes and procedures to ensure they meet information security standards and compliance regulations. The analyst will work with cross-functional teams to address policy and risk issues, develop recommendations, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our security posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex analysis of business issues utilizing established methodology and tools within information security.
- Work with clients and other resources to assess current capabilities, identify needs, and recommend business process improvements.
* Provide support and collaboration in completing analysis, ad-hoc reports, and information or process mapping.
- Contribute to and participate in process improvement and solution discussions, presenting outcomes to management.
- Develop and design new business processes and update existing ones within information security.
- Participate in cross-functional team initiatives and process improvement projects.
- Provide reporting and analysis to assist in executing solutions and offer consultation to clients and colleagues.
- Determine best practices and suggest how to improve current practices and monitoring.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Experience: 3 to 5+ years of relevant work experience.
Technical Skills:- Risk assessment and Analysis
- Security Frameworks and Standards
- Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
- Audit Control Evaluation
- Metrics, Reporting, and Data Analysis
Communications: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, creativity, attention to detail, and oral and written communications skills tailored for the intended audience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the facilitation of assurance engagements.
- Experience with FISMA/NIST frameworks.
