Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) Technical Lead / Architect with strong hands-on development expertise to join our team onsite in Ankeny, Iowa.
This role requires deep experience in SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris), Java, and Spring frameworks, along with the ability to design, develop, and optimize enterprise-scale eCommerce solutions. The ideal candidate will actively contribute to development, lead technical design discussions, and support integration and performance optimization initiatives in a Kanban-based delivery model.

12+ years of enterprise software development experience
8+ years of hands-on SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) experience

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) applications with a focus on scalability and performance
Lead hands-on development activities, including coding, debugging, and code reviews
Customize and extend SAP Commerce platform using ServiceLayer, ImpEx, and FlexibleSearch
Build and enhance RESTful services and OCC APIs for headless commerce implementations
Integrate SAP Commerce with third-party systems using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware platforms
Implement and optimize Solr-based search functionality
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions in a Kanban environment
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system stability and performance
Participate in technical design discussions and architecture decisions
Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and performance optimization
Technical Screening Expectations
Candidates should be prepared for hands-on technical evaluation covering:
Java & Spring coding (debugging and fixing code snippets)
REST API concepts (design, HTTP methods, status codes)
JUnit and integration testing fundamentals
Core SAP Commerce (Hybris) concepts and implementation
Nice to Have Skills
Experience with microservices architecture
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
