Role Overview
We are looking for a resource for the role - Technical Project Manager - Data. The summary expectations are:
-The resource is a Driver, Senior resource who can switch between playing the role of Program manager and TPM
-Should be able to talk to stakeholders seamlessly
-Resource with Data space background. Data analytical leader/ Director of BI.
The Technical Project Manager role will have a wide range of responsibilities. The role is not only about traditional project management but also about managing business users, expectations management, driving technical decisions, and interacting with the engineering as well as the senior management. Success in the position will require exceptional communication skills, multi-tasking, and herding the team abilities. Quarterly travel might be required.
Responsibilities:
-Resource planning, Timelines planning, conflicts resolution
-Management communications: Steering meetings, status reports, escalation reports, opinion notes on options
-Understanding and documenting the business workflow, business processes, business priorities
-Working with cross-functional teams to understand conflicting priorities and architect unified solutions
-Challenging the business assumptions if needed keep the ball rolling with engineering as well as with the business teams
Requirements:
-EXCELLENT communication skills in a professional setting both oral (managing large meetings, whiteboarding, ideation sessions) and written (status reports, minutes, project slide decks etc)
-Ability to navigate typical business dynamics involved with cross-functional projects
-Ability to drive and close on decisions in a matrix environment
-4-8 years of hands-on experience of data engineering, data warehouse, data analytics, and data science projects
-Experience with general project management tools like Microsoft Office, JIRA (or other ticketing systems), Monday.com, and such
-Strong analytical skills and methodical problem solving
-Ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical individuals
-Excellent learning new skills and staying current with rapidly changing technology
-Proactively identify risks and dependencies and drive resolution
-Ability to communicate across multiple stakeholders ranging from individual developers to key leaders
-Drive project timelines to ensure on time delivery
-Work with 3rd party vendors to support delivery of projects and initiatives
-Extensive experience with complex projects involving cross functional teams, 3rd party vendors and multiple systems/integrations
