Miami-Dade County is seeking an Information Security Analyst to join the Enterprise Security Office. This position is an excellent entry point for individuals looking to build a career in cybersecurity and AI while contributing to the protection of critical public services.
In this role, you will work alongside experienced professionals, gain hands-on exposure to modern security tools, and support key initiatives related to vulnerability management, threat awareness, and AI-enabled security operations across a large enterprise environment.
The primary objective of this role is to assist in identifying risk, supporting remediation efforts, and strengthening the County s cybersecurity posture across infrastructure, applications, and core services.
Job Responsibilities include:
- Supporting vulnerability scanning, triage, prioritization, and tracking of remediation efforts.
- Assisting in the assessment of vulnerabilities and recommending actions based on business risk and operational impact.
- Collaborating with technical teams and stakeholders to support remediation through resolution.
- Maintaining procedures, documentation, metrics, and reporting related to vulnerability management activities.
- Researching emerging vulnerabilities, exploits, and threat trends impacting County systems.
- Supporting blue team activities, including threat detection, monitoring, and defensive improvements.
- Assisting with security automation and AI-enabled capabilities to improve operational efficiency and visibility.
- Performing other cybersecurity-related duties as assigned.
