Responsibilities

Shape the Future of Intelligent Electronic Measurement

Keysight is transforming the way engineers interact with the world's most advanced test and measurement solutions. We're seeking a Senior Test & Measurement Software Engineer (AI Solutions) who combines deep expertise in high-speed digital or photonics measurement technologies with strong software development skills and a passion for applying AI to solve real-world engineering challenges.

This is not a traditional AI engineering role. We're looking for a measurement expert who understands the complexities of oscilloscopes, signal integrity, BERTs, AWGs, or photonics measurement systems and is excited about leveraging emerging AI technologies to enhance customer workflows, accelerate insights, and create the next generation of intelligent measurement solutions.

As part of Keysight's Digital & Photonics Software R&D organization, you'll collaborate with leading domain experts, software engineers, and AI specialists to develop innovative capabilities used by the world's top semiconductor, communications, networking, aerospace, and technology companies.

Why Join Keysight?
  • Help define the future of AI-powered test and measurement solutions.
  • Work on technologies that enable next-generation communications, data centers, networking, and photonics innovations.
  • Collaborate with world-class measurement scientists and dedicated AI research teams.
  • Influence product strategy and technical direction for emerging AI-enabled solutions.
  • Expand your expertise in Generative AI, Agentic AI, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and intelligent automation.
  • Grow into a technical leadership role while driving innovation across Keysight's product portfolio.

What You'll Do

Develop Intelligent Measurement Solutions
  • Apply deep expertise in digital, photonics, signal integrity, or high-speed measurement technologies to create AI-enabled workflows and applications.
  • Design and implement software solutions for real-time and sampling oscilloscopes, BERTs, AWGs, and related measurement platforms.
  • Help engineers make faster, more informed decisions through intelligent analysis, automation, and insights.

Create Production-Ready AI Capabilities
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects and AI specialists to design scalable AI solutions for measurement products.
  • Build and integrate AI technologies including Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG architectures, multimodal models, and intelligent automation workflows.
  • Develop secure, reliable, and traceable data pipelines supporting AI-powered analysis and decision-making.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities to incorporate them into future product roadmaps.

Drive Technical Innovation
  • Prototype and validate innovative concepts that improve customer productivity and measurement workflows.
  • Partner with internal AI Labs teams to bring advanced AI capabilities into commercial products.
  • Help define best practices for responsible, effective, and scalable AI deployment.

Collaborate Across Functions
  • Work closely with Product Management, R&D, Architecture, QA, and Validation teams.
  • Translate customer needs and measurement challenges into impactful technical solutions.
  • Contribute technical leadership, mentoring, and knowledge sharing across the organization.

Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Real-Time or Sampling Oscilloscopes
    • Bit Error Rate Testers (BERTs)
    • Arbitrary Waveform Generators (AWGs)
    • Signal Integrity
    • High-Speed Digital Communications
    • Digital or Photonics Measurement Systems
  • Software development experience using C++, C#, Python, or similar programming languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to bridge complex measurement challenges with modern software and AI technologies.

Preferred
  • Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models, Agentic AI, MLOps, or RAG architectures.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based AI services and deployment environments.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives or mentoring engineers.
  • Knowledge of measurement automation, data analysis, or instrument software development.

Career Growth Opportunity

This role offers a unique opportunity to combine deep domain expertise with one of the fastest-growing areas in technology. You will help shape Keysight's AI strategy, collaborate with industry-leading experts, influence product direction, and develop innovative solutions that redefine how engineers interact with complex measurement systems.

If you're passionate about measurement science, software innovation, and applying AI to solve meaningful engineering problems, we'd love to hear from you.
