Role: Microsoft Dynamics 365/ Business Central Developer for Supply Chain

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Engineer with strong expertise in Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to support a large-scale ERP implementation and integration initiative. This role will focus on designing, configuring, extending, integrating, and supporting end-to-end supply chain and operational solutions across warehousing, inventory, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and financial/operational workflows.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on technical experience across both Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (Finance & Operations) and Business Central environments, with the ability to work closely with functional consultants, project managers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, maintainable, and upgrade-safe enterprise solutions.
This is a delivery-focused contract engagement for professionals who thrive in fast-paced implementation projects and can independently drive technical execution from design through deployment and post-go-live support.

Key Responsibilities:

ERP Solution Design & Implementation
Design, configure, and deliver Microsoft Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management and Business Central solutions across modules including:
Inventory Management
Warehouse Management (WMS)
Transportation Management (TMS)
Procurement & Sourcing
Manufacturing / Production Control
Product Information Management
Master Planning
Asset Management
Sales Order & Purchasing Processes
Financial and Operational Workflows within Business Central
Translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical designs, estimates, and implementation plans.
Collaborate with functional consultants, solution architects, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with operational and business objectives.
Configure and extend D365 SCM and Business Central environments following Microsoft best practices to ensure maintainability, performance, and upgrade compatibility.

Development & Customization:

Develop and maintain customizations and extensions using:
X++ and Visual Studio for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations / SCM
AL language and Visual Studio Code for Business Central development
D365 extension framework and event-driven customization patterns
Data entities, batch frameworks, SysOperation, and security artifacts
Build and support custom APIs, web services, integrations, and automation solutions using:
OData
REST/SOAP APIs
Business Central APIs
Power Platform integrations where applicable
Follow secure coding standards, source control processes, and Microsoft extension best practices.

Integration & Data Management:

Design and implement integrations between Dynamics platforms and external systems such as:
3PL providers
EDI platforms
Shipping and carrier systems
MES systems
eCommerce platforms
Financial systems
CRM and third-party operational tools
Leverage Azure integration services including:
Logic Apps
Azure Functions
Service Bus
API Management
Event Grid
Support data migration, synchronization, and cutover activities using:
Data Management Framework (DMF)
Configuration packages
Staging tables
Validation and reconciliation processes

Quality Assurance, Support & Delivery Operations:

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, performance bottlenecks, integration failures, and process inconsistencies across D365 SCM and Business Central environments.
Participate in:
Code reviews
Testing cycles
UAT support
Release deployments
Go-live cutovers
Hypercare and post-production stabilization
Implement monitoring, logging, operational documentation, and support runbooks for integrations and scheduled processes.
Produce clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and deployment handoff materials throughout the engagement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Must-Have Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations / Supply Chain Management and/or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Strong technical expertise in at least 2–3 supply chain-related modules, with Warehouse Management strongly preferred
Hands-on development experience with:
X++ and D365 extension development
AL development for Business Central
Visual Studio and VS Code
Data entities, DMF, and batch processing
Security roles, duties, and privileges
Experience designing and supporting integrations using:
OData
REST/SOAP APIs
Azure integration services
Business Central APIs
Strong understanding of:
Supply chain operations
Inventory and warehouse management
Procurement and fulfillment processes
Manufacturing and planning workflows
ERP implementation best practices
Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work independently in a client-facing, delivery-oriented contract role
