Senior ETL Developer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior ETL Developer with 12+ years of experience in designing, developing, and optimizing data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in ETL tools, data warehousing, and large-scale data processing, along with strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines

• Extract, transform, and load data from multiple heterogeneous sources

• Optimize ETL workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability

• Develop and maintain data warehouse solutions

• Perform data cleansing, validation, and transformation

• Troubleshoot and resolve ETL and data-related issues

• Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders

• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance standards

• Implement error handling, logging, and monitoring mechanisms

• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of ETL jobs

• Mentor junior developers and review code

• Maintain documentation for ETL processes and data flows

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

• 12+ years of experience in ETL development and data integration

• Strong expertise in ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or DataStage

• Advanced SQL skills and strong database knowledge (Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)

• Experience with data warehousing concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema)

• Hands-on experience in performance tuning and optimization

• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Shell scripting

• Experience working with large datasets and complex transformations

• Familiarity with scheduling tools and workflow orchestration

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with cloud ETL tools (AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Google Dataflow)

• Exposure to big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark)

• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices

• Experience with data governance and data quality tools

• Familiarity with BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau)
