General Ledger BSA Consultant – SAP to Oracle Cloud

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled General Ledger Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support the Finance workstream during our SAP‑to‑Oracle Cloud migration. This role will focus on requirements gathering, data validation, sprint participation, testing, and close collaboration with our implementation partner. This position replaces an existing resource and requires someone who can immediately bring structure, clarity, and strong communication to a fast‑moving program.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary BSA for the General Ledger workstream during the Oracle Cloud implementation.
Collect, refine, and validate business and functional requirements.
Validate data migration results for GL, COA, balances, journals, and related financial objects.
Partner with the implementation partner to ensure configuration aligns with business needs.
Support testing cycles (SIT, UAT) by developing test scenarios, validating results, and documenting defects.
Provide clear, concise communication with business stakeholders and project leadership.
Track issues, dependencies, and risks with strong project management discipline.
Support cutover readiness activities related to GL data and financial close processes.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong understanding of Oracle Cloud Financials (GL).
Hands‑on experience with data validation, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
Excellent communication skills—able to work effectively with finance users and technical teams.
Strong analytical and documentation skills, including requirements, process flows, and test scripts.
Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments (optional).
Ability to step into a challenged workstream and quickly bring structure and clarity.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience migrating from SAP to Oracle Cloud, or other large-scale migration/implementation projects.
Familiarity with COA redesign, financial close processes, and cross‑module dependencies.
Background in large, complex transformation programs.
