Job Description:
Mainframe Database Administrator (DBA) with expertise in both IMS DB/DC and IBM DB2 for z/OS to support its Credit Card Technology platforms. This role will focus on the administration, optimization, performance tuning, and lifecycle management of critical mainframe databases. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience with IMS hierarchical databases, DB2 relational systems, and a strong understanding of data availability, security, and compliance within the financial services sector.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of DBA experience with IBM DB2 for z/OS and IMS DB/DC environments.
- Advanced knowledge of COBOL, JCL, VSAM, and mainframe utilities.
- Deep experience supporting high-availability, high-throughput systems, preferably in credit card or payment processing.
- Proficient in DBRC, IMS log analysis, and database cloning techniques.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, referential integrity, partitioning, and space management.
- Experience with monitoring and performance tools (e.g., BMC, CA Insight, IBM OMEGAMON).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
