Description:
Job Title: Data Engineer

Location: Fully Remote

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled data engineer with hands-on experience across all layers of data integration and analytics, capable of designing and delivering end-to-end data solutions that scale.

Key Responsibilities

Demonstrate creativity, resourcefulness, and proactive problem-solving when collecting, processing, and preparing data for analytics within an agile development environment.

Collaborate across business transformation teams to define and implement standardized business processes and system design for enterprise data warehousing and analytics.

Work across all stages of the data pipeline to identify, analyze, model, cleanse, secure, aggregate, and catalog both structured and unstructured data at scale.

Develop solutions within the enterprise data fabric to support interoperability across existing and emerging technologies aligned to organizational reference architectures.

Basic Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with SAP HANA native development, including calculation views, performance optimization, SQL scripting, and application lifecycle management.

Experience working with structured and unstructured data in relational or NoSQL environments (e.g., SAP HANA, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle).

Experience using ETL tools such as SAP Data Services, Informatica, Tableau Prep, Alteryx, or equivalents.

Data modeling experience with tools such as Erwin.

Experience in software engineering practices and automating data pipelines using Git/GitLab.

Experience working with ERP, MES, or PLM systems.

Desired Skills

Technical Skills

Hands-on experience with CP4D (Cloud Pak for Data).

Strong practical experience with SAP HANA and SAP Data Services.

Proven functional knowledge of SAP ERP.

Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Git repositories.

Demonstrated process automation capabilities.

Strong SQL expertise and debugging skills.

Experience with Python, Java, Azure (preferred).

Experience with SAP S/4HANA Embedded Analytics, CDS views, SAP Fiori, and SAPUI5.

Experience applying data governance principles and working with data stewards.

Knowledge of:

o Databases: Big Data (Hadoop), Graph (Neo4j)

o Languages: Cypher, Angular, Kotlin, HTML/CSS, GraphQL, JSON, JavaScript, Python

o Cloud/Containers: AWS, OpenShift, OpenStack

o Tools/Frameworks: Logstash, Spring Boot, Gradle, Node.js, NPM, Data APIs

General Skills

Experience collaborating effectively with technical teams.

Strong background in data engineering and architecture for complex technical solutions.

Experience in change management and incident management.

Ability to work on geographically distributed project teams.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.

Ability to balance technical requirements with business needs; strong business acumen.

Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban) and Agile planning tools such as JIRA.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to thrive in a fully virtual work environment.

Demonstrated positive, resilient attitude under pressure.

Strong lean and root cause analysis skills.
