Job Summary
We are seeking a Quality Engineer II to support manufacturing and production operations in a heavy equipment environment. This role focuses on improving product quality, assembly and welding processes, driving corrective actions, establishing process controls, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, cost, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support quality and manufacturing improvement projects.
  • Develop and maintain process controls, control plans, assembly methods, and work instructions.
  • Investigate production, assembly, and weld quality issues and drive corrective actions.
  • Work with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and production teams to improve product quality.
  • Analyze measurement data, inspection reports, and manufacturing processes.
  • Utilize manufacturing and engineering systems such as SAP and MES tools.
  • Support product validation, testing, and process improvement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and manufacturing requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience in manufacturing, assembly, welding, or production environments.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, prints, inspection reports, and measurement data.
  • Experience with PFMEA, control plans, operator work instructions, and shop floor documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with engineering tools, databases, and manufacturing systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with corrective action processes and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with SAP, MES systems, or manufacturing software tools.
  • Experience in a union manufacturing environment.
  • Exposure to torque tooling, AutoCAD, or Creo View.
  • Knowledge of assembly and welding quality processes.
