Azure Security Engineer

Vaco’s client is seeking an Azure Security Engineer to support cloud security architecture, monitoring, and threat mitigation across enterprise Azure environments. This role will focus on securing cloud platforms, implementing security controls, and supporting enterprise cybersecurity initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement security controls within Azure environments
- Configure and manage Azure security services such as Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, and Identity Protection
- Monitor and respond to cloud security threats and vulnerabilities
- Implement identity and access management (IAM) and Zero Trust frameworks
- Support security architecture reviews and risk assessments
- Partner with infrastructure and DevOps teams to embed security best practices
- Assist with compliance initiatives and security audits
Qualifications
- Experience securing Microsoft Azure environments
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and security monitoring tools
- Knowledge of identity security, network security, and cloud governance
- Experience with SIEM/SOAR tools
- Understanding of security frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of cloud security architecture
