Software Development Engineer Mainframe
Client Name: Fiserv
Onsite /Remote

Join our Mainframe Software Engineering team to build and enhance mission-critical payment processing solutions for our Digital Banking platform. You'll work in an Agile environment, collaborating with architects, developers, and cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and support mainframe applications.
Collaborate with Solution Architects and Scrum teams to deliver features aligned with architecture and sprint goals.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and technical discussions.
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and automation where applicable.
Support production systems, troubleshoot issues, and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
Drive continuous improvement in development practices and application quality.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in mainframe application development.
Strong hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, MQ, and Db2 for z/OS (REXX is a plus).
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and production support.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of the Payments or Digital Banking domain.
Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Experience working on large-scale enterprise applications.
