Cable Installation Technician

Job Description

We are seeking several Installation & Cable Technicians for projects located in Ames, Des Moines, IA, and surrounding states. Some travel is required, and per diem is provided when traveling.
Candidates must have at least 6 months of low-voltage experience. Individuals with relevant knowledge and hands-on technical schooling will also be considered.
Technicians will be responsible for installing data racks and cabinets, Cat6 and coax cable, faceplates, and will test and label cabling. Additional duties include assisting with the setup of DirecTV cable boxes, modems, and satellite dishes in individual rooms, as well as helping build out server closets for network installations.
Work will take place both indoors and outdoors in school and apartment building environments. Occasional tasks may include digging trenches and performing directional drilling. Technicians will receive daily direction from project leads.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
