Job Description

We are seeking a Vehicle Systems Engineer with strong experience in engine management, vehicle troubleshooting, and powertrain systems support. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience diagnosing vehicle and engine issues, supporting validation activities, and working with ECM software and calibrations.

Required Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Skills

• Experience troubleshooting vehicle systems and engines
• Heavy-duty technician or service writer/advisor background preferred
• Strong technical problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Experience working with engine management and powertrain systems
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and workloads
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Experience working in a corporate environment
• Familiarity with ECM/ECU diagnostics and calibration tools
• Exposure to Calterm or similar engineering diagnostic tools is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support development vehicle powertrain systems and troubleshoot hardware, software, controls, and electronic system issues
• Diagnose and resolve vehicle and engine-related concerns using established troubleshooting procedures
• Work closely with technicians and engineers to investigate and resolve issues
• Track issues and maintain clear documentation of findings and resolutions
• Communicate plans, status, and outcomes with engineers, technicians, and customers
• Support ECM software downloads and calibration activities using engineering tools such as Calterm
• Participate in vehicle validation and testing activities
• Collect and analyze vehicle data
• Document validation results and issue resolutions
• Follow established issue tracking and reporting processes
