Description
We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Dallas, Texas. This is a long-term contract position with an initial six-month term and a strong potential for extension or transition to a direct role. The ideal candidate will play a key role in upgrading and maintaining network infrastructures across multiple sites, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed site surveys to evaluate network environments and identify areas for improvement.
Oversee the planning, implementation, and completion of branch and site network buildouts.
Upgrade and deploy Cisco Meraki wireless infrastructure, including WAPs and access points, across designated locations.
Perform physical network tasks such as cabling, equipment installation, and configuration.
Diagnose and resolve network-related issues across multiple sites to ensure operational stability.
Monitor network performance and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, changes, and project milestones.
Collaborate with the network manager and travel to selected sites as required (approximately 2-3 locations out of 42).
Requirements
Extensive hands-on experience with Cisco Meraki systems, including wireless infrastructure.
Strong expertise in branch networking and leading site buildout projects.
Proven ability to perform site surveys and lead comprehensive network upgrades.
Proficiency in cabling and managing physical network infrastructure.
Familiarity with Azure networking is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear updates and follow through on tasks.
Preferred certifications in Cisco technologies or equivalent.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering.
