Senior Technical Project Manager (Business, Technology, Data, and AI)
Hire-Type: Contract
Location: Stamford, CT (Only On-Site)
We are seeking a highly energetic, can-do attitude, hands-on Senior Technical Project Manager who can operate at the intersection of business, technology, data, and AI.
This individual must be more than a project tracker. We need someone who takes ownership, asks the right questions, connects the dots, challenges ambiguity, and drives initiatives from initial business requirements through validation and successful production deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner directly with business and technology stakeholders to gather, clarify, challenge, and document complex requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear BRDs, technical requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and implementation plans.
- Drive LOEs, prioritization, roadmaps, dependencies, procurement, vendor coordination, and delivery planning.
- Establish clear success metrics and validation criteria before deployment—including who owns validation and how success will be measured.
- Coordinate across multiple technology and operational teams where ownership and budgets may be distributed across the enterprise.
- Analyze data and operational information to identify patterns, inconsistencies, risks, and opportunities.
- Use modern AI tools such as Claude, Kiro, and similar platforms to accelerate research, requirements analysis, documentation, and problem-solving—while independently validating the output.
- Quickly learn complex environments and leverage existing institutional knowledge to become productive rapidly.
- Connect technical delivery to measurable business outcomes, particularly customer retention, customer experience, operational efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Proactively identify gaps, raise risks early, and drive issues to resolution rather than waiting for direction.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong experience as a Technical Project Manager / Technical Program Manager in complex enterprise environments.
- Exceptional requirements-gathering and business-analysis capabilities.
- Strong understanding of data, technology platforms, integrations, and enterprise application delivery.
- Demonstrated AI fluency and ability to use AI tools intelligently for analysis and research.
- Strong analytical mindset—the ability to examine data, determine whether it can be trusted, and connect findings back to business requirements.
- Experience managing projects from discovery and requirements through development, testing, validation, deployment, and post-production support.
- Excellent executive and stakeholder communication skills.
- High energy, strong personality, intellectual curiosity, reliability, and an absolute can-do attitude.
- Comfortable challenging assumptions and asking difficult questions when requirements, ownership, data quality, or success criteria are unclear.
- Proven ability to operate independently in an environment with multiple teams, competing priorities, and distributed ownership.
The Profile That Will Succeed
Someone who hears “we need this delivered” and immediately begins asking:
What problem are we solving? What are the requirements? What data supports them? Who owns each dependency? How will we validate the solution? What defines success? And what could prevent us from getting there?
We need an individual who takes ownership of answering those questions—and then drives the organization through execution.
