Job Description

Huntington Ingalls Industries - Mission Technologies Warfare Systems is seeking a Manager of Business Operations in support of Modernization of C5 and Electronic Warfare Systems for Special Operations Command and subordinate units. The Business Operations Manager will work closely with Directors, Lead Program Manager, and staff. Responsibilities include the Project coordination and roll-up of Operations forecast, budget and financial performance. Assist the Senior Program Manager in execution of Operations in all aspects of Special Operations Projects. Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors, and summarizes progress of all assigned Projects in compliance with all HII and contractual procedures. Prepare reports in support of Task Orders as directed. The successful candidate will directly lead Projects and support staff to ensure processes are followed and maintained and requirements are delivered in a timely manner.

Preferred location Tampa, FL, Fayetteville, NC. (East Coast remote location will be considered)

Essential Job Responsibilities
Assist the Senior Program Manager in process monitoring and performance tracking.
Responsible for providing Project business processes oversight to ensure the smooth and effective execution of Directorates and Programs.
Provides financial forecast, budget, and performance overview of all assigned Projects.
Assists in Business Operations occur in support of ongoing Projects, that may take place in multiple, worldwide locations.
Provides oversight and adherence to policy for HII recruiting and onboarding and human resources aspects for all personnel.
Tracks the hiring status for all Projects where necessary.
Works with Program Managers to coordinate all assigned Facilities, to include requirements; management; and expenditures.
Supports all internal business operations with HII to ensure all aspects of the Program are aligned with corporate guidance and policies.
Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to HII plans and schedules. Identifies Program problems, and recommends solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.
Directs the work of employees assigned to responsible Projects.

Minimum Qualifications
6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
At least 6 years of demonstrated experience managing teams in the documentation of business requirements, documentation of processes, creation of SOPs, development of process improvement recommendations, and presentation to clients
6 years' experience managing personnel and staff
Strong critical thinking skills, writing skills, and communication skills in order to understand clients' problems and identify process improvements to address challenges
Organized, flexible, adaptable, team-oriented, and able to operate effectively in ambiguous situations
A working understanding of business processes and methodologies including process mapping, requirements gathering, workflow analysis, and creation of performance metrics
Ability to utilize MS Office Suite, to prepare presentations and gain stakeholder buy-in
Clearance: Must be able to attain a TOP SECRET.

Preferred Requirements
10 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field.
Experience managing clients in a dynamic federal environment where priorities can shift rapidly and access to technology can also change dramatically over the life of a project
Prior management or consulting experience
Certification in Project Management (PMP or CAPM)
Knowledge and experience using Lean Six Sigma methodologies
Experience with financial management principles, objectives, and processes

Physical Requirements

May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
